I wonder if Helen , or anybody else who goes to the Mecc appreciates a good taste of sparkling champagne on a Sunday afternoon. ? |

Champagne is my favourite drink for any occasion so I think it's a good idea, rino2010. But as I learned from the rules of the MECC, any alcohol is prohibited in Chekhov Hall. But I've never been to any MECC meetings, I've just learned about it and on Sunday I'm going to join the club meeting for the first time so maybe I'm wrong about the rules? |

You might be right about MECC rules but I'm still not so sure if Champagne is considered to be heavy alcoholic beverage in Russia and if it requires to be licensed by authorities in order to be served at clubs, (it may be is - I don't know), having said that, by no means this is a suggestion for a drinking party , it is an idea for a casual Champagne - Tasting event.
The idea is plain simple, all Champagne lovers come in and pitch in little extra for a couple of bottles from the Eleseevsky supermarket which is located just a few blocks up from MECC.  |
